This Term, Grade 34R had the opportunity to visit St. Basil’s nursing home twice. The Grade 3s we were very excited to take part in this experience as it was their first time.

At our first visit, we enteracted with the elderly and played games of cards, colouring in activities, made conversations and had refreshments.

Justin Schena performed on his electrical keyboard which entertained everyone, even the staff who watched on from afar. Some of the elderly joined in clapping and moving their bodies. Justin’s parents watched on feeling very proud.

Goldie our classroom mascot brought lots of curiosity amongst the elderly as some thought she was a real dog.

At our second visit, we made a harmony tree for Harmony Day. Nicky the organiser was so happy to have it displayed on the wall for everyone to see.

Thank you to all Grade 34R students for putting a smile on everyone’s face and making this a wonderful experience!
