What a fantastic Book Week we had at Fawkner Primary School! The 2019 Book Week theme was ‘Reading is our Secret Power’. In our classrooms, teachers and students focused on reading four different books related to the Book Week theme. They were:
- Brindabella
- Girl on Wire
- The All New Must Have Orange 430
- Cicada
We had many different events throughout the week to help us celebrate Book Week. The students participated in a Book Character Parade. The students really enjoyed dressing up and parading their costume to the whole school! We also watched a performance about ‘Big Dreams’. The performance related to all the books we had read in class. This was another great event that the students’ enjoyed participating in!
