On Wednesday 17th November students from 3/4 A and G went on a bus to South Morang for our River Red Gum Conference. While we were there we met students from four other schools. The schools were St Peter’s, St Mary’s, Oak Park and Hazel Glen College.
At Fawkner Primary School, we’ve embraced the new Digital Technology curriculum and our kids have been learning lots of code!
The students have been so engaged that many want to put their free time into additional learning!
If your kids want something fun and educational to do over the holidays, check out Code Studio.
Our school values underpin everything that we do at Fawkner Primary School and are part of everyday life for the staff, students and families.
We promote the school as a safe, fun learning environment where every child is valued and all children are challenged to achieve their best. Our values uphold everything we do at Fawkner Primary, and help to maintain our integrity for being the best school members we can be.
Members of the Student Sustainability Team carried a plastic bag with anything we couldn’t recycle for 5 days in May. We learnt that most of us had food waste like banana peels that doesn’t need to go in the bin if we could compost it and use it in the garden. We also learnt to reduce the amount of waste we make by choosing things that could be recycled or even better produced no waste.
We would like to try and get a compost bin so that we can produce less waste than we do now. Please support us.

Foundation and Foundation/One are extremely lucky to have Ms. Heidi come and help develop the children’s garden skills and eat fresh, grown fruit and vegetables from our own veggie garden!
The Better Buddies Program involves Foundation and Grade 6 students meeting every Thursday afternoon to work together on various activities throughout the year.
Congratulations to Prep student Batul and her parent – Sakina – who were the winning family of the Community Grocer fruit and vegetable box!
