Parent Payments
Schools provide students with free instruction to fulfil the standard Victorian curriculum and we want to assure you that all contributions are voluntary. Nevertheless, the ongoing support of our families ensures that our school can offer the best possible education and support for our students. We want to thank you for all your support, whether that is through fundraising or volunteering your time. This has made a huge difference to our school and the programs we can offer.
The environment and resources that we enjoy today represent the contributions made by our parent/carer community over many years. Parent/carers voluntary contributions make a significant difference to the quality of our programs. This financial support ensures that we can continue to provide the excellent range of facilities and resources for your children. Your support has allowed us to:
- provide high quality programs and specific subject materials and equipment for English, Mathematics, Science, Art, Music, Inquiry, Language and PE
- maintain and develop the school grounds
- ensure the upkeep of our computer devices to enhance learning opportunities
- maintain sufficient class sets of books for students to develop their reading skills
- provide hands on maths equipment i.e.: measuring materials for teaching purposes
- facilitate Literacy and Mathematics online digital subscriptions
- deliver a range of sporting equipment
- arrange for individual student supplies and class bulk supplies
- offer effective first aid for all students.

Before & After School Care
TheirCare provides a stimulating and safe environment for all children and an environment where children come and enjoy their time in their program. During sessions, children develop life skills, friendships, confidence and creativity through play.
Fawkner Primary School has partnered with TheirCare to provide quality care, flexibility and commitment to deliver on our promise to your school community.
How to Enrol
Visit the TheirCare website and click on ‘Book Now’ in the top right-hand corner to register your child’s details.
School Communication Portals
Our school uses two main forms of communication with parents: Sentral for Parents and Class Dojo. Sentral is our whole-school platform where parents can access student reports, approve student absences, pay and approve excursions etc. Class Dojo is our platform where our classrooms present student work samples to parents and receive ‘Dojo’ points for positive behaviour. It is also a great tool to communicate with your child’s classroom teacher.
How Can I Get Involved?
Being a helper at your child’s school can be a great way to get to know the school better and see the wonderful things we do at FPS. Our amazing parents volunteer at Fawkner Primary School in different ways:
- School Councillors
- School Ties Reading program
- Helping with special events
- Classroom Helpers
